WELLBEING

Wellbeing at Toogoolawa is woven into every aspect of school life, from the calm tone of the day to the strong relationships that anchor each student. Our approach is proactive and relational, focused on helping boys feel safe, connected and capable of managing their emotions. Through consistent routines, daily mindfulness, personalised support and a deep respect for individual circumstances, we create an environment where students can heal, grow and build the inner stability needed to thrive both at school and in life.

Daily Routines

Daily routines provide the calm structure students need to feel safe, focused and ready to learn. Each morning begins with Quiet Time, followed by circle time and clear communication about the day ahead. With a no mobile phone policy in place, boys can fully engage in building positive relationships and developing healthy habits that support wellbeing.

Lessons run in short, focused blocks with regular breaks that balance concentration, movement and rest. The day ends with a reflective debrief, helping students process their experiences and leave with closure, while staff use this time to plan consistent, meaningful support.

FLOW

FLOW is a movement-based wellbeing program designed to support boys with regulation, engagement and confidence. Each session follows a clear structure based on the pillars of Fitness, Life, Opportunity and Warrior, helping students activate their bodies, build emotional awareness and reset calmly.

Delivered in small groups, FLOW creates a safe, supportive space where boys can reconnect with themselves and others. The program blends physical activity with values-based learning to grow strength, focus and purpose from the inside out.
