NATURE SCHOOL

Toogoolawa Photo 13.png

The Nature School program at Toogoolawa is a core part of our approach to education, running once each fortnight as part of our learning cycle. It reconnects students with the natural world through meaningful, hands-on experiences that build confidence, resilience and a sense of peace. Activities like bushwalking, fire-building and exploring local creeks help boys develop problem-solving skills and a quiet appreciation for their environment.

Nature School supports emotional regulation and wellbeing by providing a calm, open-air setting where students feel safe and free to be themselves. This outdoor learning space is ideal for reinforcing the five Human Values through real-life experiences. By working together and respecting the land, students learn cooperation, responsibility and the value of gentle leadership.

Led by skilled staff who guide with care and calm presence, each session offers the chance for students to explore, reflect and grow. Nature School is not just a break from the classroom; it is an invitation to learn differently. Many boys discover a new sense of capability and connection in nature, often unlocking strengths and insights that stay with them well beyond the school grounds.
